What’s DHAPpening, everyone?

That’s my first time using that. Other people have used it, but I always feared that it would be a little punny? How do we feel about that, people?

I hope you’re having a wonderful Memorial Day weekend thus far. My plan for today was to get to the beach or somewhere warm, but it’s not even going to hit 70 today in New York. So, I used today to sleep in and update the website. If you visit the About Me and Pictures page, you will noticed updated pictures and appearances, so definitely go check that out.

While it may not be beach weather, I am ready to spend sometime outside this weekend, with some BBQing and some friends and family, but I am also excited to check out some comedy at The PIT and watch the Rangers game somewhere in the city on Sunday night. Maybe even go to the Mets game on Monday afternoon. Yesterday, we did a murder mystery scavenger hunt at The Met through Watson Adventures. Check them out, we had a blast! Shout out to our host Daniel.

Two fun episodes on the podcast this week. We chatted with Rich MacLeod of MLB and their Just Mets blog about the Mets as they hit the quarter mark of the season. The Mets have been fighting through some injuries and rough hitting outside of their 11-game winning streak earlier this season, but their pitching continued to be phenomenal.

We also chat with Ronny Pascale, the Associate Artistic Director of The PIT. He books a lot of the fun shows you see there all the time. The podcast has been friendly with members of The PIT for the last few months, but even I forgot how many past guests are doing awesome shows there. Ronny also produces the incredible, Unauthorized: The Musical, the first of which I’ve seen was Steel Petunias. So damn good. From Frank Pepe’s Pizza to Carvel to the wonderful people of Mars, Inc., we chat wonderful food and somehow try to wrangle a sponsorship.

Next week on the show, we are booked to have Natty Bumpercar, Lyssa Mandel, Sue Funke, and Gregory W. Hall, so look out for those episodes.

I hope everyone a safe and wonderful Memorial Day weekend! Let’s remember why we have the day off Monday, folks.┬áLet’s remember those we have lost who help to keep us safe, and as always, thank a veteran for their service.

Until next time…
