My father passed away 10 years ago today. Unquestionably the strongest person I have ever known. In the face of something no one should ever have to go through, his positivity, his laughter, his smile endure.

He is with me every day and his strength helps me to convince myself that I have a shot to make a difference in the world. The last 10 years have flown by. I have grown and changed each and every day. It hasn’t been easy. Some days are better than others. But the God’s honest truth is that I live every day to make him proud. It ain’t perfect, but I am doing the best I can.

I support the Huntington’s Disease Society of America. My father, like too many others, have been taken by this horrible disease. If you don’t know what it is, take a second and learn. Please. For the last few years, I have been raising money in support of research, and support groups, and getting money where it is needed, and each of you have been so amazing in helping me try to make the tiniest impact.

I cannot thank you enough.

I take today to pause. Reflect. Laugh. And cry. A good full day, right?

Thank you for being my family. Tell someone you love them today, ok?

Just keep me where the light is…
