I am not entirely sure if the Oscars snuck up on anyone else like they did me this year, but when I saw a Facebook post yesterday from a friend raising money for charity via an Oscar pool, I had no idea the Oscars were today! Whether it is because I have only seen a couple of the nominated movies, or because this may be something of an uninspired class, I am way more excited for the pomp and circumstances of the event tonight than which movie or star leaves Hollywood tonight with the gold.

While keeping up with the glitz and glamour on social media, I will be pulling for my predictions to win in 24 Oscar categories. This year I tended to stick with “12 Years A Slave” and “Gravity” in most of the categories each are nominated for, and picked the shorts and documentaries based on, you know, what sounded like would win.

What are your thoughts on the Oscars tonight? Are you interested? Will you be watching? Who do you predict will win some of the major and minor awards? Play along with me here and share in the fun of the night on social media!
